Mental Health Support Services

Facing challenges with your own mental health or being worried about a friend or a family member can feel overwhelming. There are lots of groups and organisations that can offer support in different ways to best suit each person, from support through NHS services to local peer support groups run by people with lived experience. Help can be accessed and delivered in different ways, including text message, phone call, online and in person.

We encourage people to reach out whenever they feel it may be helpful. If you know anyone who may be struggling with their mental health, checking in with them, showing compassion and suggesting places they can get support can be incredibly powerful.

Below is a summary of the key support sources in Blackpool.

If you are a young person aged under 18 years old – please see the Healthy Young Minds website (if you are under 25 years old with additional education needs, there may be resources available to you on this website too) or the Blackpool Council Young People’s Mental Health Support website.
